Alvaro Morata is in his second season at Chelsea, but revealed that he considered a return to Italy during the summer. Morata will take part in Spain's upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against England and Croatia, but while speaking in a press conference, the Chelsea striker revealed his troubled mental state during last season's campaign: "Not going to the World Cup was a very tough blow, but now I don't want to think any more about the past. I was going through a difficult period, I was sure that I was in Lopetegui's selections, but now I will focus on working towards making the next World Cup. During last season I thought about returning to Italy, I also had a thought of a transfer to Spain. Being out of the World Cup was truly devastating for me, last season I was unhappy. Everything was a disaster, I went out on the field and I didn't know where I was."
