Chelsea are interested in signing Real Madrid defender Eder Militao.
The Blues held talks with Militao's representatives in December, but nothing concrete emerged from this meeting.
However, there is belief that both parties can meet again in March to hold further discussions.
Manchester United have also held several talks with the Brazilian's camp since last summer, but currently isn't seen as an attractive project for the player. The Red Devils found the option of Raphael Varane more accessible.
The main priority is that both Real Madrid and Militao want to renew the contract, (which ends in 2025) and are planning to meet for discussions in the next months. The 24-year-old wants to stay.
Militao currently earns an annual salary of £2.5million and both parties agree this isn't enough.
