Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri always expects the best from his players. Eden Hazard - a player that the club strives to keep content in every possible situation - knows this, and spoke to Times on the eve of the clash against Manchester City. "He's an old man, but we think of football in the same way. When we have the ball, we are very free - not only me but Willian and Pedro too. Therefore, we can move around a lot. Sarri loves control of the ball and uses many statistics including possession, shooting, and scoring opportunities. In the past, we have played a more counterattacking style with Conte and Mourinho, but with Sarri, it is different. Sometimes we keep possession - I understand that the fans always want us to attack, but this is part of football. We are still learning Sarri's concepts, but I like this kind of football".
Currently, Hazard is the the number one goalscorer at Chelsea with 12 goals scored in the Premier League. His Blues record is 16 goals, scored in the 2016/2017 season. Sarri, however, expects so much from the Belgian attacker: "Everyone wants me to score 40 or 50 goals every year, but I'm not sure I can do it. Before, Mourinho and Conte, and now Sarri thinks I can do it. I'll try. I like being the star of the team and scoring goals, but it is also important to pass the ball to teammates to put them in a position to score. My goal is to help the team win".
