After helping his Chelsea squad reach the Europa League final, David Luiz renewed his contract with the club the day after their semifinal victory. Luiz's new contract will run until 2021, and the club announced the following statement on their website: "Deal is done! Chelsea defender David Luiz signed a new contract with the club until 2021."
Luiz also spoke on the renewal. "I'm happy to remain here until 2021! I love this club and I will always give my best for this shirt. Thank you all for the support!"
