Cassano retires:”I no longer have drive to practice regularly”

After joining Entella’s squad on October 6th to attempt a comeback, Antonio Cassano has announced he has retired. The former Roma and Real Madrid striker wrote a long farewell on journalist Pierluigi’s Pardo Twitter account:”The day has come, the one in which you decide it’s really over. In these days I figured out that I no longer have the drive to practice regularly, to play football you need passion and talent but especially determination. I want to thank the teammates from these years, the managers, the directors (including those I argued with), but especially the fans, those on my side and th opponent’s, because without them there wouldn’t be football”
