With a dire situation in the standings, Cagliari are looking to the January window to bring in reinforcements to Mazzarri's club.
The Sardinian club are set to acquire Daniele Lovato on loan from Atalanta, the formdr Padova youth team product will take the medical on Wednesday December 29th.
In addition to Lovato, Cagliari is also closing the deal with Sassuolo for Edoardo Goldaniga, the arrival of the two defenders will help Mazzarri transition to a new backline with three centerbacks.
