The story between Leonardo Pavoletti and Cagliari will continue. The attacker's contract was set to expire in 2022, but he has renewed his deal with the rossoblù for an additional year, signing with the team until 2023. Pavoletti, who is recovering from an injury to his leg, shared the below when speaking at Casa SkySport in April:
"I'd surely be ready in August, the recovery is going very well. I mustn't rush to start again but between August and September I should be with the squad."
He is now ready to continue his adventure with Cagliari, although he has only appeared once this season for the club.
