Cagliari, meeting with ex-Crotone manager Nicola: the latest

Cagliari is continuing their casting call for a new manager for next season. In the last few hours, the Sardinian club met with Davide Nicola, who left Crotone just months ago. Also, in the last few days, Cagliari President Giulini brought forth a negotiation with ex-Italy manager Ventura, but they didn't go well. Therefore, Cagliari are following Ivan Juric and Roberto De Zerbi. The former is in a stand-by position and the latter is seemingly close to Sassuolo. In the last few hours, Nicola formed part of the shorlist: the meeting between the two parties went well and the definite choice will be made in the coming hours. Also, President Giulini and Sporting Director Carli met with ex-Chievo manager Rolando Maran. The final choice will be between Maran, Juric and Nicola. Waiting for Giulini's decision on which manager will start on the bench for next season.
