Estonian defender Ragnar Klavan introduces himself to Serie A after his move from Liverpool to Cagliari at the end of this summer's transfer window: "I received many offers during the summer, but Cagliari was my first choice - the centre-back said in his first Rossoblu press conference - It has always been a dream of mine to play in the Serie A, since I grew up watching Zidane when he played in Italy. In Liverpool I played to win titles, but in my career I've also played to avoid relegation. Cagliari reminds me a bit of Ausburg, the team I used to play for in Germany. The club's main goal was avoiding relegation, but in our third season we managed to get Europa League qualification. In football everything is possible, if you play with the right spirit". Klavan, born in 1985, also talked about one of his footballing role models: "I've always admired Paolo Maldini's serenity with the ball in his feet, I try to have the same attitude on the pitch".
