After a successful career, Cafu doesn’t forget the clubs closest to him, particularly in Italy. While a guest at the Laureus World Sport Awards, the Ex-Fullback for Milan and Roma spoke about the situations of both clubs. First up, Milan:
“It pains me to see the standings. It’s incredible to think that Milan is so far behind Juventus and everyone else fighting for the title. What are they missing? A second Berlusconi, but I know it’s difficult to find someone like him. He’s responsible for writing the history of Italian football, even global football. We’ll see what’ll happen in the next few days, but he definitely won’t be forgotten. The current team is very different to mine, especially since 10 years ago we won all the trophies we could have, whereas right now there aren’t the necessary conditions to repeat the same results. Hopefully the club can solve the problems as soon as possible”.
A few comments for Totti and Roma: “Roma? They can still win the title. Totti? Francesco is a friend, but I can’t give him advice on his future. It’s up to him to understand if he should quit at the end of the season, or continue. I’ll limit myself to wishing him the best of luck”.
