Buffon: "Ferguson wanted me. I turned down City for Juventus"

PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was interviewed by BT Sport and he spoke about transfer interest that he received during his career: "When I was a teenager and played at Parma, Ferguson followed for two or three years and constantly sent scouts to watch me. However, Parma was my world and I didn't want to leave. I received an offer from Manchester City, when they started building their team to become one of the strongest in Europe. They wanted me to be their first signing, but I preferred to stay at Juventus."
