When you think of great goalkeepers the Italian school is second to none. Zoff, Zenga, Pagliuca and Toldo have been amongst the best in the past decades, and now Gigi Buffon has been the standard at the position. His peers certainly know this, including Bologna's Antonio Mirante who described the Juventus keeper this way:"When he retires we'll say he was the greatest- he told Gazzetta dello Sport- he never was effected by criticism or pressure and he's someone who isn't allowed to make any mistakes. He's a great athlete and the goalkeeper role is the hardest, you need to be perfect. Donnarumma? I like him a lot, the future is his. I admire Meret, Cragno and Gomes who Bologna signed to replace me and is now at Salerno"
