After a brief period last season in Genoa, Blerim Dzemaili’s future may still be in Italy. The midfielder, who needs to resolve his relationship with his current club Galatasaray, had already given the ok to play for Bologna, after having signed a new contract with the Montreal Impact. However, the deal is very complicated, and at the moment, the future of the Swiss player is uncertain.
In the meantime, Bologna have begun to pursue other targets in the market in order reinforce Roberto Donadoni’s midfield. Among the names held in high regard by Bologna are Federico Viviani (24 year old player currently at Hellas Verona) and Edgar Barreto, currently of Sampdoria. For Barreto, interest has already been shown by Udinese – where coach Iachini has experience coaching the player from their days at Palermo. In anticipation of understanding Dzemaili’s next destination, Bologna continue to observe other players.
