Besiktas, Ljajic's situation: from an hypothetic release to a return to Torino

"Ljajic? We've sold him this year, we haven't had any news from Besiktas nor from any other team. I haven't heard of him either, nor from anyone of his entourage" . Here's what Torino president Urbano Cairo has said after the game against Empoli last Wednesday, looking to clear a difficult context. Besiktas' poor economic situation brings Torino to pay attention to the situation of the player who left last august on a loan with an €8m option to buy, that becomes an obligation after he plays a certain number of games (for at least 45' per game) and some team objectives. Orman's club bad situation might change Ljajic's plans though.

As the conditions to exerce the buying option will only be fulfilled by the end of the season, what would happen in the case Besiktas don't have the money to pay the transfer fee to Torino? In that case, Ljajic would become a player of the Turkish side which he would then leave (that's the reason Cairo had those words) while the Italian club would open a dispute to get the money back from the sale of the player.

The possibility of the former Roma and Inter midfielder returning in January would only come from negotiations between both teams that haven't taken place yet. Anyway, Soriano's situation (as he might leave, Cagliari and Bologna are interested) could make room for the Serbian player, who's under Contract with Torino until 2020. Ljajic would have to be convinced to return to Mazzari's squad though, as he wouldn't be a starter. It won't be an easy situation to resolve though, as he's already played in an official game with Torino, he couldn't leave for a third team this season but Torino's priority at the moment is to sell players while a return after six months would only be a plan B.
