Benevento, Sagna:”After ten years in England I needed a change, I’m glad I came to Serie A”

After a distinguished career in the Premier League where he represented Manchester City and Arsenal, Bacary Sagan now finds himself in the battle to avoid relegation in Serie A. The French defender discussed his recent career move in an interview to Sky Sport: “Many asked me why I decided to come to Benevento. There’s just one answer, I like playing football and when I went to Napoli to meet with the president I didn’t expect that I would have ended up here, but then I spoke to him and his family and I understood they’re special people. For me respect is the most important thing in the world. I played ten years in England, things are very different in Italy. I needed a change and I’m glad I decided to come to Serie A. I’m happy to take to the pitch and fight for something different, for me this type of life is beautiful. I think we all need to believe more in fact we can avoid relegation, we all must believe Benevento is a very strong team”
