Bayern Munich, James to Kovac: "We are not at Eintracht Frankfurt here"

Similar to other great clubs around Europe, Germany's Bayern Munich is not going through the easiest of times currently. The environment at the Allianz Stadium was waiting for a victory in the home match against Ajax in the Champions League - to allow them to forget about the draw and defeat in the last two Bundesliga matches - but the match ended on a scoreline of 1-1, thus worsening the atmosphere around coach Niko Kovac.

The Croatian manager is at the center of controversy despite the seven victories he has obtained since the start of the 2018/19 season. In Germany, there are already those who talk about his adventure at the helm of the club approaching it's final stages because the accusations from the club and players are very drastic. After defeating Bayern Munich last year as the manager of Eintracht Frankfurt for the DFB Cup, most were already unhappy with his arrival. But facing his old side for the DFL Supercup at the beginning of this season - and winning by a large scoreline of 5-0 - he hoped that he would be able to change the mind of fans, but it hasn't had that effect.

After the draw against Ajax, President of Bayern Munich, Uli Hoeneß, spoke of a "non-dramatic" situation between the coach and the team but wanted to point out that the lack of personality shown by Kovac has not been much appreciated. In addition, according to Bild, after leaving James Rodriguez on the bench against Augsburg in the 1-1 draw and in the Champions League 1-1 draw against Ajax, the Colombian launched an attack on the Croatian, stating "we are not at Eintracht Frankfurt here" - a direct and clear reference to the team previously coached by Kovac.

There is also be the question of 'unhappiness' with players at the club - Kovac reportedly speaks Croatian more than he speaks German, thus leading to a misunderstanding between the players and the coach. There are many players who are not at their best form, and many believe it is due to the lack of tranquility around the club.

A complicated environment to manage, after just a few weeks Kovac must find a way to turn around this club, or forces being shown the door by the club.
