Barcelona will hand control of sporting direction to Ramon Planes

Barcelona's revolution continues in the sporting direction of the club. The job will be entrusted fully to Ramon Planes. The director stays while Eric Abidal departs the role after recent sparks between the parties led to the departure. Planes was among the names being considered by Roma's new owner Dan Friedkin but instead he will continue to work in Catalonia.
