Barcelona, Pique’:”We we’re ready to lower our wages for Neymar’s return”

Last summer Neymar was heavily linked with a return to Barcelona. During an interview with Larguero de la Cadena Ser, Pique' revealed that his former teammates were ready to make a sacrifice to make it happen:"We advised Neymar to stay with us. We told him he was going to a golden prison but that he wouldn't be happy. Talking with president Bartomeu this summer many players were willing to lower their wages to fit Financial Fair Play. We needed to find a formula for the club and the player's needs. The club said it was a good idea, but then there were some problems and deal didn't materialize"
