The 1988 born Spanish midfielder has always been a key player at Barcelona and has now renewed his contract until 2023. Not only that, within the new agreement with Busquets, a 500 million euro release clause has also been included.
Through a message on their official website, Barcelona announced the renewal of the Spaniard: "Sergio Busquets and Barcelona have signed a contract renewal that will tie the player to the club until June 30, 2023. His release clause has gone from 200 million to 500 million euros".
For Busquets, who has played 490 matches for the blaugrana winning a total of 28 titles (7 La Liga's, 6 Copa del Rey's, 3 Champions League, 3 Club World Cups, 3 European Supercups and 6 Spanish Supercups), there is the possibility of ending his career with the shirt that has always worn.
