After an experiences in England and France, Mario Balotelli returned to Italy last summer. While he ended up joining his home town team Brescia, he was also pursued by Hellas Verona as he revealed in a recent interview with Corriere dello Sport:"My transfer? I couldn't have gone to Verona since I'm a Bresciano. Brescia is my city and that was how I decided. The president is unique, I met him in England when he had Leeds, we even went to dinner one time. He knows how to convince people. He believed Verona was also pursuing me, their president Setti had called Cellino to ask him if he was truly interested in me. He told he wasn't interested and three days later I signed with Brescia"
Balotelli was asked if he has matured:"Since I returned to Italy, I haven't bothered anyone, I train seriously, I don't overlook anything, I adapt to my coach and teammates' needs, although sometimes during the game, I feel like I am a midfielder"
