Flamengo has exited the race to sign Mario Balotelli. There was a clear solution for the deal to be completed, however, Brescia's interest changed the Italian striker's mind. To make their decision public, the Brazilian club posted an official statement on their website and social media profiles.
"Flamengo: Mario Balotelli and his representatives have decided, by mutual agreement - after two days of cordial meetings in Monaco - to close the negotiations that involve the possibility of acquiring the player".
This is a sign showing just how close Balotelli is to becoming a Brescia player; only the official announcement is missing, which will arrive by Sunday.
