Antonio Conte's Chelsea continued to press for Roma's Radja Nainggolan but seem to have stepped back now. Chelsea offered up to €40 million for the Belgian midfielder but Roma have continued to decline their advances, much due to Nainggolan's wishes to stay in the Italian Capital.
As we reported earlier, Chelsea have now abandoned the idea of signing Nainggolan and instead are prepared to try to sign Zenit St Petersburg's Axel Witsel who is also one of Conte's prime targets.
