The days in which Robinho would make the Milan fans go crazy over his dribbling are long gone, but the Brazilian has found renewed youth while playing for Atletico Mineiro. ExtraTime reports what he had to say about his time in Europe:
‘Ronaldo the phenom and Zidane were definitely the best team mates I ever had. Ronaldo was an excellent finisher and a master of dribbling. Zidane was so talented’.
More specifically, he talks about Milan: ‘ Allegri wasn’t the reason I left, we are friends to this day. We’ve always had a great relationship and won the scudetto together in 2011. I have a lot of admiration for him and I’m very happy for his success with Juventus. In 2014 I left Milan because my contract had expired and I wanted to make a return to Brazil. Milan is the one Italian team that has a special place in my heart, I spent four great years there. I still keep in contact with Allegri and Nocerino. Playing with Thiago Silva was fantastic, one of the best defenders on the planet. The same goes for Kakà, even though the majority of our time together was with the National team’.
