Rodrigo De Paul, coming off a fantastic season for Udinese as the leader and inspiration of the team, could move onto a big destination during the summer. Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid are calling for the Argentine midfielder who scored 9 goals and collected 10 assists this year.
The La Liga-winning side have identified Udinese's number 10 as their ideal offseason addition, in recent days there have been ongoing contacts between the two clubs' owners.
Atletico has made their initial offer, €20m cash plus Nehuén Perez as a counterpart. The 2000-born Argentine center back appeared in 26 matches on loan at Granada.
Udinese is currently asking for a higher amount, but the deal still has chances to proceed given the good relationship between Udinese head Giampaolo Pozzo and Atletico CEO Miguel Gil.
