Matheus Cunha is set to become Atletico Madrid's new striker. The Brazilian, born in 1999, will join los Colchoneros after having won the gold medal at the Olympic games, scoring also the decisive goal in the final against Spain.
The Spanish club will pay €30 million plus add-ons to Hertha Berlin to secure the signature of the Brazilian, as the clubs reached the final agreement in the past few hours.
Atletico Madrid's pushed to sign FIorentina's Dusan Vlahovic, offering up to 50 million plu €10 additional million in add-ons, however the Viola refused their offer as they wanted to keep their striker. Atleti then shifted their focus on Matheus Cunha, reaching an agreement with Hertha for the Brazilian, who will be their new reinforcement to their frontline.
