Juventus are not the only club to have set their sights on Chelsea's Emerson Palmieri, as also Atletico Madrid has showed interest in the wing-back. The Bianconeri, that have been following Palmieri since his stint with Roma, had considered him as an option in case of Spinazzola's departure. With Spinazzola set to stay in Turin, the Italian club has postponed all the evaluations on Palmieri until next summer.
For their part, Atletico Madrid have made enquiries over the Italo-Brasilian in the past few day, but it seems difficult that Chelsea decide to sell him in January, since Sarri is reluctant to let him leave. However, Emerson remain an option for June, as the Colchoneros have chosen him as a possible replacement for Lucas Hernandez.
Hernandez is especially targeted by Bayern Munich, that will discuss about a possible deal with Atletico Madrid and could even decid to trigger his release clause to bring him to the Allianz Arena. For this reason, the Spanish club is fathoming the market for a possible replacement and Emerson seems to be a strong option.
