Atalanta all-time record signing Duvan Zapata is ready to fight to get back into European football next year, after being knocked-out by Copenaghen in the Europa League play-offs: "It still hurts, but there's no point in thinking about it. We have the capabilities to reach Europa League again this season", the Colombian said to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The former Sampdoria striker discussed also his decision to leave the Blucerchiati: "I had a great reòationship with the fans and with the coach, but then the club decided they didn't want me anymore. I knew I was on the market and Sampdoria didn't do anything to try and keep me. Atalanta has always been my first choice, they wanted me more than any other club. I received some offers from other clubs, especially from Chinese ones, but I didn't even consider them".
