Atalanta have a long tradition of discovering talents from lower divisions, and today they reached an agreement for a talented defender. Gasperini’s club will in fact acquire defender Marco Varnier, born in ‘98, from Cittadella for €5 million plus bonuses. Varnier will get the opportunity to play in Italy’s to division and help replace Mattia Caldara on Atalanta’s backline.
