After an excellent start of the season Andrea Petagna has become an objective for Inter, Juventus and Monaco all ready for a battle to have the young Italian. Amongst all the interest the true winner is Atalanta. This time as oppposed to what happened or is happening with Caldara and Gagliardini, this time the nerazzurri from Bergamo are refusing to even sit at a table and negotiate. The club believe that Andrea has extremely unique characteristics in Italy and when Gasperini puts him in the best conditions to perform, his price will only go up.
Seeing the player's young age, resisting now is a big investment for the future. Petagna made his way to Bergamo after a so-so season at Ascoli, where he scored 7 goals. In the previous seasons at Latina and Vicenza, he didn't find a lot of space: 26 appearances in total and just one goal. In the summer of 2015 practically no one showed interest despite Milan agreeing to pay his wages. Because of Milan he had thought about quitting football. Today Petagna is reborn.
