Following their impressive draw at the San Paolo against Napoli, Atalanta suffered a setback with a loss at home against Cagliari. Following the game manager Gian Piero Gasperini spoke to Sky Sport:"Cagliari were better than us, they were superior. Ilicic's read card compromised the match because phsycally we were doing well, in the second half I saw the right mentality. Why did I take out Gomez? We had to reinforce the midfield, we did well with him but once we were a man down we struggled"
"Sometimes we pay the price, today the match didn't go our way. The league is very balanced, there are great teams. Playing every three days is somewhat of a justification, but not too much".
