Atalanta are looking to reinforce their midfield and have place Morten Thorsby from Sampdoria on their list. The Norwegian can play as a center midfielder or as a trequartista and his versatility is a factor of why he is of interest to La Dea.
Both clubs are at the negotiation table and an offer of 6 million euros could be enough to close the deal. There will be another meeting tomorrow between Atalanta and Sampdoria to see if further progress can be made to send Thorsby to Bergamo.
An agreement is still missing, but at the moment, there is a possiblity that a deal can be reached. It would be a second outgoing transfer for Sampdoria after selling Jakub Jankto to Getafe for 6 million euros, the same amount that could be enough for Thorsby.
Thorsby has made 61 appearances and scored 5 goals with Sampdoria. The negotiations are proceeding well and contacts are still ongoing between both clubs. There will be more information after tomorrow's meeting. It is possible that 6 million euros could be enough to gift Gasperini a new reinforcement in midfield.
