Real Madrid continues to win, and they're doing it without Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star has yet to score in Serie A, but his value is absolute and indisputable. Real Madrid knows this well and, in the past few years, the squad has won everything with him. If Allegri is the one bothered to speak on Ronaldo in Italy, in Spain it's not going much better for his former teammates.
The latest to speak on Ronaldo is Marco Asensio, star of the "new" Real Madrid and becoming a key player for Lopetegui. At the end of a 4-1 victory over Leganes, the talented Spaniard spoke about his former teammate to Marca:
"Juventus is a big family, but so is Real Madrid. I don't know if we'll be more or less of a team without Cristiano: since I've been here we've always been a team on and off the pitch. When Cristiano was here, we were always a close team and everyone brought their own contributions to the cause."
"I am happy for the minutes that I'm playing and for how things are going, as well as for the fact that I am important for Luis Enrique on the national team. He has confidence in me," concluded Asensio.
