Arsenal, Vieira: "Coaching the Gunners? It would be difficult, but I’m ready to coach any side in Europe"

MLS side New York City's coach and Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira discussed the possibility of following in the footsteps of his former mentor Arsene Wenger on the Gunners' bench next season. “I don’t want this to be perceived that I want to go because I don’t want to leave - Vieira told The Times - But if the question is as simple as ‘are you ready to manage any teams in Europe?’ then I would say yes. I am ready. Of course it’s an honour to be mentioned with Arsenal. If the call came it would be really difficult. I am always going to have a deeper relationship with Arsenal. That is not enough to coach that team but I’m ready to coach any side in Europe", concluded Vieira.
