Andra Pirlo spoke in an exclusive interview with 'Il club" on Sky Sport, and months after his retirement from football after a storied career, il maestro gave some reflections about the game he left behind, and begun by revealing a secret for which he remains the envy of all: "The devastating free kick? I took it with the very bottom part of my foot and tried to get it to dip as fast as possible. The keeper saw it only once it was in the back of the net. From further out I could give it more power. The team at Milan? Their strength was solid. In the past there was me, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Abbiati, the Inzaghis. Pippo is truly a football obsessive, I knew he could succeed. But his brother Simone surprised me. A moment that changed my career Carlo Mazzone called me to say he would see me doing well in a slightly more advanced position from where I usually had been playing. The first year at Milan, I played some left wing, then at the end of the season I joined Ambrosini in central midfield."
