After his exoneration from Bayern Munich, Carlo Ancelotti has talked to Radio 1 in the Radio Anch'io Le Sport programme: "My exoneration wasn't bound to Neuer's absence: we missed him from April but we still won the Bundesliga. There were other reasons, the club didn't trust my work anymore and decided to change. They had a lack of trust in my conduction of the team, you should ask the club".

He's clear about his future though: "It's only fair for me to look forward and get some time to think about it, watch football as a spectator. I'll look for another opportunity, but not immediately", telling more about what he'd like: "I want a project that leaves me time to work, even if we don't have a lot of serenity in this work. Something will get available, I'm waiting peacefully". In the last weeks Ancelotti has been tied to a lot of benches: "Everyday there's a new one. Chelsea, then my friend Conte got angry; I talk a lot with Antonio. Then there's been China, Everton. I'm waiting for the 30 of June when my contract with Bayern will officially expire and I'll valuate the options that will be presented to me".

Unavoidable to talk about Milan: "They've changed more than the others have so they logically need more time. There is no recipe, there aren't no wizards. They've done a transfer window everyone has said was amazing, you can't make a new team perform in 6 months. You need to persevere in your work and in the investments. Where can they get? The fourth spot is important to invest, going in the Champions League. The important thing is to keep going".

In the end, a consideration about Serie A: "It's become very competitive and interesting. There are teams that are competing better with Juventus like Napoli and Inter, who have the advantage of not playing in cups. Spalletti has the chance to be able to work on his ideas every week quietly. Then there also is Lazio that are having a great moment, then Roma while Milan are still behind".
