Carlo Ancelotti could be set to return to England after being sacked by Napoli just a week ago. The former partenopei coach has in fact held initial and positive contacts with the Toffees, which are looking for a new coach following the sacking of Marco Silva and the appointment of Duncan Ferguson as caretaker (and who will remain at the club should the Italian be appointed).
Ancelotti has arrived in the Merseyside a few minutes ago, Sky Sports reports, to hold talks with owner Frhad Moshiri and chairman Bill Kenwright. Another possibility that had emerged for Ancelotti was that of taking charge of Arsenal, but it seems that the Gunners, currently managed by Freddie Ljungberg after the sacking of Unai Emery, are pushing to appoint Manchester City's assistant manager Mikel Arteta as their new head coach, following the meeting the parties had last night as reported by the English media.
