It is official, Alvaro Morata is a Real Madrid player after the club decided to activate the buy-back clause and pay Juventus €30 million. Now Real Madrid must decide whether to keep him or to sell him. With regards to the latter, all roads lead to London where Chelsea and Arsenal are looking for a striker and are prepared to offer a lot of money to the player. Especially since Arsenal seem to have missed out on Vardy and Chelsea could sell Diego Costa back to Atletico Madrid. Chelsea have already lined up a back-up plan should they fail to sign Morata, in Romelu Lukaku, whom they've already asked Everton for.
However, it can't be excluded that Juventus could reopen talks with Real Madrid to bring Morata back in a few weeks time. Today's resigning was an act that Real Madrid had to do before the clause expires.
