Roma sporting director Monchi spoke to the media during the introduction of new addition Jonathan Silva. The questions posed to the director focused largely on the January transfer window. Here are Monchi's comments on the additions and subtractions from the Roma squad: "The balance on the market? From a sporting perspective, of buying and selling, it was normal: Castan left on loan, Emerson and Moreno were sold, we bought Silva. If we take note that the players who left had played little here, I am convinced that we had the transfer market that the club would have wanted: we could have done better, but this is the path. Since I arrived I have been learning and getting to know this club: I know that I have to get better to continue on with Roma, but I am also convinced that these last 9 months that have passed here have been an opportunity for me to get better. For me this team has a lot of talent, I watch them train every day and for me the players are very strong, on a physical and tactical level: I am convinced of that and I say it from the heart. Blind? He was offered to us, we considered it, but he wasn't the player that we needed. Alisson? We have not yet received any offers, I think that it's fair to stop talking about the transfer market and talk about the game. I think that will be better for everyone."
