Roma's sporting director Monchi is looking to insert the giallorossi as a late entrant in the race for Patrik Schick. The striker's agents Pavel Paska and Bruno Satin confirmed in a long meeting earlier today with the his current club Sampdoria that several teams, including Liverpool, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid have come forward willing to pay the 21-year-old's €25m release clause. And Roma directors Monchi and Frederic Massara were in Milan today too in a surprise trip to meet with Paska and Satin. However, Roma's effort comes after there has already been substantial conversation with Juventus, who, thanks to the link with Schick's Czech countryman Pavel Nedved remains the favorites to obtain the striker's rights. Inter, too, have also been in very recent contact over Schick, led by Walter Sabatini, who led Roma's effort last season to buy him. It looks likely that Schick will remain in Serie A, with Juventus the favorites, but many other clubs both domestic and foreign in the competition.
