Important updates on the Icardi-Inter-Napoli front. Late last night a meeting took place between the player's entourage and Piero Ausilio, and on the negotiating table was his future with Inter and his contract renewal. As reported by Sky Sport's Andrea Paventi, the last offer presented by Napoli was for €60m plus bonus, which was again rejected. Inter does not intend to sell Icardi and so a renewal has been floated by the club as a likely possibility. But Inter explained to Icardi's entourage that the renewal would not be signed before October, when Suning group will take over full management responsibilities. In the meantime, there was a discussion about the terms of a new contract. Icardi makes €3.8m per season currently, but after an extension he could be slated to earn €5m per year net of taxes plus bonuses. Icardi's entourage should be satisfied with these developments, and despite the inability for Inter to offer the renewal before autumn, the relationship between player and club should continue on in good health.
