Capello: "Italy? I've already coached two national teams, that's enough. Italian defeats in Champions League? Having Messi and Ronaldo it's like starting the game from 1-0 up"

Ex-Jiangsu Suning coach Fabio Capello talked about Italian football in an interview with Radio Rai 1 during the show "Radio anch'io sport": "Serie A is still not challenging enough. You have to learn from the best to improve, and the best players don't come to Italy anymore. Coaching Italy? I already coached England and Russia, that's enough. The National tema lacks leaders that can make the difference: coaching Italy won't be an easy task, regardless of the name of the new coach. Mancini travelled the world, he would know how to deal with the team, but he won't have talented players capable of being game changers. My future? We managed to avoid relegation with a team that was bottom of the league [Jiangsu in China], now I enjoy being a pundit". Capello discussed also the Italian defeats in the Champions League of Juve and Roma, against the Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid: "When you have Messi and Ronaldo in your team you start the game with a one goal lead already. Next Messi and Ronaldo? I think that Mbappè and Neymar are similar to the Argentinian and to the Portugese respectuvely. They still have to improve a lot, but I can see them as Balon d'Or winners in the future".
