Premier League, l’albo d’oro: Manchester United al comando, City sale al quarto posto
“La Premier League è il miglior campionato del mondo”, questa è una frase che negli ultimi anni si sente sempre più spesso dire. Uno dei motivi potrebbe essere l’equilibrio che c’è nella competizione, sia ora che in passato. Nella storia della Premier League, infatti, al comando c’è il Manchester United con 20 trofei (13 dei quali vinti durante il mandato di Sir Alex Ferguson come allenatore), seguito a ruota dal Liverpool con 19. Al terzo posto, poi, l’Arsenal segue a 13.
A quota 8 il Manchester City con 7 titoli vinti nell’ultimo decennio (5 con alla guida Pep Guardiola). Sono 6, invece, i campionati inglesi vinti dal Chelsea, 5 dei quali vinti con Roman Abramovic come presidente del club.
Indelebile, infine, la vittoria della Premier League nella stagione 2015/2016 del Leicester City di Claudio Ranieri con 81 punti in 38 giornate e 10 punti di vantaggio sull’Arsenal secondo.
