Venezia, Zenga named as coach: official announcement

Walter Zenga is the new coach of Venezia, after the sacking of Stefano Vecchi, it has been announced. The club made the move official after it was rumored the night prior on social media. Venezia released a statement on the move: "The club Venezia FC announces that it has relieved first team coach Stefano Vecchi of his duties. The club thanks coach Vecchi and his staff for their dedication, work, and the manner that they performed in these months and wish each one success in the future. Venezia FC also announces that the new first team coach will be Walter Zenga, who will begin training the squad today. Coach Zenga will be presented by president Joe Tacopina tomorrow, Saturday 13 October, at 11:30 at the Official Club Store, afterwards the president and coach will be available for autographs for fans."
