For Iker Casillas, it still isn't the moment to completely retire. While he's still making a full recovery from the heart attack that he suffered last May, the Porto keeper will continue to be part of the club. The legendary former Real Madrid and Spanish #1, in fact, will join the club's staff and for the moment will act as the glue between the players, manager and Board of Directors.
The Portuguese club made this announcement on their official site, in which they also mentioned the possibility to giving Casillas other duties within the club.
The keeper, who in the meantime is following his recovery plan, commented on Porto's official channels: "I'll do something different with respect to what I always did on the pitch, therefore I will try and create a connection between the team and club. The manager told me that he wanted me to remain with them and stay close to the players, especially the young ones. I'll try and do my best to help my teammates."
