After struggling to find space at Juventus, Mattia Perin returned to Genoa during the January window. The former Padova keeper discussed his move back to his former club in a recent interview with our editor in chief Gianluca Di Marzio:"When I arrived we only had eleven points and everyone thought we were doomed, but thanks to the strength of the group and the coaching staff we are doing important things. Should the league resume, there will be numerous matches to achieve salvation but now we are more confident"
Perin was asked about the possibility of staying at Genoa long term:"I owe them a lot, when there was the opportunity to return, I didn't have to think twice. They gave me confidence, we needed one another. Stay here? We don't know the future in this situation, but it's an opportunity we can discuss, this is my home, I'm not thinking about it at the moment"
