Napoli and Dries Mertens are set to continue their relationship, a fact recently confirmed by Cristiano Giuntoli in a recent interview with Sky Sport. The partenopei's sporting director had this to say:"Mertens showed attachment to the jersey and we could announce the extension shortly. He was never far away from Napoli, but there was fear of losing like with any great player"
The situation with Jose' Callejon, another player with an expiring contract, isn't as clear:"He has yet to decide, this is his home, he will let us know" but regardless of an extension or not, there won't be any issues completing the season seen the excellent relationship between the parties.
