Giacomo Raspadori is getting closer to Napoli. The two clubs are close to finding a definite agreement and now Napoli have to formalize the offer, which only then the transfer will become official.
The Partenopei raised their offer to 30 million euros split between the loan fee and the buyout clause for the player. The loan fee is worth 5 million euros and the buyout clause is worth 25 million euros. Sassuolo also lowered their request related to the bonus to get closer to an agreement.
The breakdown of the bonuses are based on two factors: 3 million euros for the qualification to the Champions League and 2 million euros related to the number of appreances, goals and assists from Raspadori, which the two clubs are outlining at this moment.
The Champions League qualification clause is a variable one over multiple years. If Napoli qualify for the Champions League at least 3 of the next 5 years, Sassuolo will be owed the full amount. Otherwise, the amount owed will be scaled based on Napoli's accomplishments, as each qualification would be worth 1 million euros up to a maximum of 3 million euros. Sassuolo wanted the bonus related to any European competition, but eventually accepted only Champions League.
The player's agent went to Sassuolo's HQ, while there were phone conversations between Carnevali and De Laurentiis. If Napoli formalize this offer, the positive end to the negotiations would come in the coming hours.
