Milan will take on their first Champions Cup challenge against Bayern Munich on the 24th, and the rossoneri departed for the match a few hours ago. Sky Sport intercepted manager Marco Giampaolo while at the airport and was questioned on the transfer market.

"I have a lot of confidence in the directors. They're competent and know who I need. The optimal situation would be to work with a group formed from the beginning. It would be that way for any manager, but it's not like that for me or the others."

Giampaolo awaits reinforcements in the midfield. One of these is Bennacer, named the best player at this past African Cup. "We're happy for him, but to understand what point we're at, you need to ask Maldini. I think of the pitch from morning to night, I have a lot of things to do. I don't like the market very much, I think only about working with great enthusiasm and to get positive responses from the players."

It was the same response for Modric"You need to ask Maldini."

Giampaolo also spoke on Suso, who Roma has expressed interest in: "He's working very well as a trequartista. He gave me great availability, we're speaking about a strong player in one-on-ones and in reading the game. He can make the difference and I'm satisfied with his work. For the market rumors concerning him, you need to speak with Maldini, Massara and Boban. From today I coach 22 players, 7-8 primavera, and I try to bring out the best in them."

Another name that's been in transfer rumors is Cutrone: "I still haven't coached him. I'll evaluate him in America, where he'll have put himself to work together with the others. In this week, the team went beyond my expectations for the ability to assimilate quickly, they surprised me."
