Nicolas Pépé seems to be the chosen one by Napoli to be their next reinforcement to their offense. On Thursday, the Ivorian's agents met with Napoli in Dimaro to discuss the Partenopei's offer to the player. Lille president Gerard Lopez addressed the topic of the future of Pépé in an interview with Tuttosport: "We received many offers for Pépé and Rafael Leao. Last year we asked to the former to stay one more season, in exchange for the promise that we would have let him go this summer. While Leao is a different situation, we wanteed to keep him, but we decided to let him go as well because we received more offers for him than for Pépé".

Napoli, that has shown interest in both players, have already made a sattisfying proposal to the French side for the Ivorian, Lopez said: "We received offers for him that meet our demands from four big clubs, while Leao is a target for eight clubs, four Italian ones. Napoli made an offer for Pépé and they met our asking price of 80 million. Now it's up to the player to decide where he wants to go on the basis of the offers that his agents have received from those four clubs. Pépé will return from holiday on Monday and I think and by mid-next week he will make his choice". A player that could be involved in a deal with Napoli is Algerian winger Adam Ounas: "With Pépé leaving, our coach needs a significant player on the right wing like Ounas. We know him from his time at Bordeaux and he always created us problems".

Finally, Lopez was asked about the rumour of Pépé preferring a move to PSG: "I don't know whether that's true or not, but I believe that he should discover a new footballing style other than the French one".
