On Wednesday Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare’ joined their team’s retreat in Auronzo, and while they spent time with their current players, they were also working on acquiring some new ones. The biancocelesti are expected to close the deal with Sevilla for Joaquin Correa on Thursday, it would be a return to Serie A for the former Sampdoria striker.
In addition to Correa, Lazio are also interested in Milan Badelj who is eligible for a Bosman transfer after his contract with Fiorentina expired. The Croatian midfielder would like to join Milan, but that option hasn’t materialized quite yet, and Lazio are looking to close the deal quickly to give manager Simone Inzaghi a significant addition- at the moment the deal looks promising for the biancocelesti.
